Reed House seeks Clubhouse Director

Job Type: Full time

Salary : $50,000
Location: Savannah, Georgia

Job Summary:

The Clubhouse Director provides leadership, vision and direction to the Clubhouse community in pursuit of its mission. The Director is responsible for the active recruitment of eligible Clubhouse members; hiring, firing and managing the employees of the Clubhouse; fund development; administering the budget; public relations; contract management; and publicly representing the mission and vision of the Clubhouse. S/he is responsible for the imaginative implementation of the International Standards for Clubhouse Development standards (www.iccd.org).

Responsibilities related to/required for this position are:

• Fundraising
• Transitional Employment Development and Employer Relationships
• Board preparation, attendance, and communication
• Governmental reporting
• Significant and meaningful participation of Clubhouse members
• Keeping informed about issues in the community relevant to the Clubhouse

Experience/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's Degree preferred.
• 3 years experience with continually increasing responsibilities in a Clubhouse or equivalent employment experience.
• Commitment to the values and beliefs of a Clubhouse program for people living with mental illness.
• Excellent writing and computer skills.
• Ability to work long and varied hours.
• Willingness to participate in the 3 week Clubhouse Training Program at an ICCD Training Base.

This is a start-up organization. The Clubhouse Director will be responsible for recommending benefits to the Board as the organization grows.
