BROOKLYN BUREAU OF COMMUNITY SERVICE seeks Metroclub Program Director

Position:             Metroclub Program Director
Department:       Adult Rehabilitation Services
Reports to:          Director of Quality Assurance

The Brooklyn Bureau of Community Service is one of Brooklyn’s largest and first non-sectarian social services agencies. Serving more than 10,000 individuals in annually, the Brooklyn Bureau provides a broad and diverse range of services including prevention of foster care placement; crisis intervention; early childhood and after school education; vocational training, job placement, and clinical services to adults. 

Our Metroclub provides a safe, nurturing, and non-institutional setting for psychiatric rehabilitation that fosters independent living and greater participation in the community. Metroclub members play an active role in their own rehabilitation as they participate in the day-to-day operation of the clubhouse. Members also enroll in training programs and develop job skills through transitional employment in local area businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Direct a consumer led community of adults with emotional disabilities, where members and staff jointly plan vocational, educational and social activities that develop skills and promote rehabilitation. 
  • Responsible for ongoing staff development, monitoring of daily program operations and achievement of contractual utilization and outcome goals. 

Requirements       
MA degree with history of progressively responsible work experience in a related setting required.

Fingerprinting and criminal background check required.
