THE A.I.M Center seeks Program Director
Position: Program Director
Location: Chattanooga, Tennessee
The A.I.M Center is seeking a Program Director. The purpose of the position is to structure and oversee programmatic functions of a psychiatric rehabilitation clubhouse for persons with mental illness age 16 and older.
Responsibilities:
Personnel:
- Engages in personnel recruitment, hiring, orientation, and training
- Conducts monthly and as-needed staff supervision with documented member-specific and practice-specific activities
- Conducts annual performance appraisals for merit salary increases
- Develops and updates job descriptions
- Approves personnel time sheets and expense reports
- Reviews program personnel leave requests and time records.
Administration:
- Develops and updates written plans for structuring service delivery
- Develops and updates written plans for staff training program
- Meets medical necessity requirements
- Monitors and provides direction for the delivery or services
- Monitors program compliance with accrediting and certification bodies
- Develops annual service objectives and projected outcomes
- Prepares and monitors budgetary line items relative to direct service delivery
- Develops and updates program policies and procedures
- Provides reports to the Board of Directors, serves as assigned staff to the Board Member Services
- Committee, and attends meetings of other committees addressing programmatic issues, as needed
- Oversees day-to-day operations of the Center in the absence of the President
- Performs other related duties appropriate to the program.
External Accountability:
- Promotes member referrals and a seamless delivery system by providing user-friendly services, conducting in-service training for community providers, and coordinating treatment and acuity planning
- Stays current with community services to support members and agency needs
- Stays current with requirements of government and regulatory authorities
- Responds to program correspondence
- Prepares written narratives for reports and budgetary packets
- Serves as agency representative on local, regional and state committees.
Member Services:
- Provides crisis prevention and intervention services
- Reviews and screens intake applications and clinical records
- Steers Screening and Suspension Review Committee
- Conducts the investigation of member complaints and grievances
- Chairs the Policy Meeting.
Generalist Dutied:
- Advocates for member rights and responsibilities
- Assists in development of community job placements
- Provides leadership and participates in monthly social activities.
Qualifications:
- A Masters prepared mental health professional
- Strong verbal, written, inter-personal, communication, and supervisory skills
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills
- The capacity for leadership and ability to represent the agency with constituents, business and industry, government bodies, and the community-at-large.
